As just about every avid Birder does, I have a patch which is my beloved little known urban misconception, Birkenhead Docks. It’s a destination I love for it’s utterly story from being biological dead, to a few decades latter being home to Common Kingfisher, Peregrine Falcon, a colony of Larus Gulls along with Cheshire & Wirral’s only Common Tern colony.
A few months ago I was approached by British Birds to write an article for them, regarding my patch and why it is special to me. So, several months down the line I’m glad to say its been done and you can read my article below, or if you’re a subscriber to BB then you can read it in the latest June issue.
Thanks for reading, kind regards, E.
